Two more Great Taste Award Stars for The Real Cure.
We’re delighted to have added two more Great Taste Awards to The Real Cure collection, this time for two of our favourite high-protein, pocket-sized snacks.
Our Wild Venison Beer Sticks and Mutton Snacking Salami with Harissa & Preserved Lemon have both been awarded a coveted Great Taste 1 Star Award for 2026 – and we couldn’t be happier with what the judges had to say.
⭐️ Wild Venison Beer Sticks
Made with wild British venison, gently smoked and packed with rich, gamey flavour and a warming chilli kick, our Wild Venison Beer Sticks were created as a properly good snack to enjoy on the go – whether that’s tucked into a walking bag, packed for a picnic or, as the name suggests, enjoyed alongside a cold beer.
The Great Taste judges described them as:
“Vibrant and enticing… with an artisan feel.”
They praised the way “the distinctive venison flavour is allowed to shine”, describing the flavours as “really well balanced” with “an exciting and building warmth from chilli.”
And perhaps our favourite bit of feedback of all?
“Delicious!”
We’ll take that.
⭐️ Mutton Snacking Salami with Harissa & Preserved Lemon
Our Mutton Snacking Salami is a combination of British mutton, warming harissa and punchy preserved lemon – flavours we knew worked brilliantly together, and we’re very pleased the Great Taste judges agreed.
The judges described the salami as “tender and succulent to chew”, noting how:
“The mutton comes through along with a zing of the lemon and a gentle warmth of harissa.”
They also summed up the flavour combination rather nicely:
“This sounds a delicious combination…”
And concluded:
“This did as we hoped flavourwise and we enjoyed it.”
Award-winning British snacking
These two new stars mean a lot to our small team here in Dorset. We put a huge amount of thought into creating snacks that are convenient without compromising on the quality, provenance and proper charcuterie-making that sits at the heart of The Real Cure.
Both are high-protein, full-flavoured British meat snacks, made for throwing in your bag, taking on adventures, packing into lunchboxes or simply reaching for when hunger strikes.
